About the Position: The position is located with U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Protection and Property Division, AMCOM G4 Directorate, Redstone Arsenal, AL. The work involves oversight of AMCOM and subordinates Antiterrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) program IAW AR 525-13/AMC-525-4 standards. Development of command guidelines, specific policies, plans, strategies, and instructions to ensure the most efficiency AT/FP program across for all AMCOM.

Duties

Manage a AT/FP Program at the Flagg Officer level to ensure effective execution across the organization. Serves as Command C-sUAS SME. Provide C-sUAS oversight to ensure C-sUAS operations are integrated into Protection Plan. Develops and briefs Domestic Threat presentations to the Protection Working Group (PWG), Protection Executive Committee (PEC) and Black Book group. Develops, plans, implements, manages the protection security program. Serves as the principal AT/FP officer and SME responsible for the developing, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating the Command's AT/FP and protection security program. Resolve major problems and/or conflicts in security policy and program development. Participate in conducting on-site Protection Program staff assistance visits/Organization Inspection Program assessments and/or inspections as a member of the Command Inspection Program using the Army Protection Program Assessment Benchmarks. Ensure Protection requirements are maintained at the appropriate Force Protection Condition (FPCON) at all facilities. Analyzes written guidance for completeness and compliance with statutes, regulations, and DOD/DA requirements. Alternate POC for Protection Program such as OPSEC, Emergency Management and Physical Security.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
  • This position may require travel (TDY) up to 25% of the time.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening and random testing thereafter.
  • This position requires pre-employment Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R

Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing, implementing, and managing the Command AT/FP Protection Program; provides AT/FP technical and oversight guidance and direction; experience with integrating, coordinating, overseeing, and synchronizing protection requirements and activities for all of the command including Operation Security and Physical Secuity and Emergency Management; conducts OCONUS travel briefings, Protection assessments; and develops AT policies and procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
