You will serve as an ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the Fleet Technical Support Division of the Engineering and Planning Department of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
Salary Range:
GS-11: $71,877 - $93,437 per annum
GS-12: $86,151 - $111,996 per annum
Duties
You will provide technical expertise for Electronic Warfare and Countermeasure systems, their associated equipment, and interfacing systems and sub-systems onboard surface ships in the Pearl Harbor and Mid-Pacific Area of Responsibility (AOR).
You will serve as Naval Sea Systems representative for shipboard technical assistance on functional problems that have been determined to be beyond the capacity of organizational level.
You will provide Fleet Technical Assistance to Pacific Fleet ships operating in the Pacific Ocean area, Indian Ocean, Persian Gulf, and other locations for these systems as assigned.
You will be responsible for prioritizing work, resolving conflicts, establishing work schedules, briefing Commanding Officers of ships, etc.
You will provide technical assistance on less urgent but complex technical problems beyond the capacity of forces float, Intermediate Maintenance Level Activities, or repair activities to diagnose and correct.

- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

GS-11 Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying technical electronics specialized methods, techniques, and principles to investigate, test, or analyze operational deficiencies within electronic warfare systems or equipment in support of ship maintenance, repair or overhaul activities.
GS-12 Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing technical guidance and leadership for the investigation, testing or analysis of operational deficiencies within electronic warfare systems or equipment in support of ship maintenance, repair or overhaul activities.
