About the Position: The position is assigned to HQs USARNORTH/5TH ARMY works directly for the Chief of Knowledge Management (KM). Responsibilities include the managing of the organization's KM program, KM assets, systems and tools.
Duties
Conducting independent research and analysis, integrating KM processes into command programs, and for assisting with or independently conducting different significant command studies in order to gather and compile information.
Prepare knowledge management project papers, staff reports, and delivering briefings to all appropriate managers .
Build knowledge working groups/teams; develops a migration plan for content to support and promote knowledge management.
Assist USARNORTH/5th ARMY senior leadership towards implementation of effective knowledge management practices.
Monitor, leads, and assists the development, design, set-up and maintenance of all USARNORTH/5TH ARMY KM tools and websites/portals for knowledge dissemination.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) business travel will be required approximately 25% of the time.
- This is a Mission-Essential (ME) position and is occupied by an agency designated Emergency employee. You will be expected to report to or remain at your worksite during dismissal or closure situations.
- A Secret Security Clearance is required for this position.
- A probationary period maybe required.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
