This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Eastern Region, Office of the Regional Director, Division of Administration, Branch of Transportation in Nashville, Tennessee.

Duties
Performs a wide variety of administrative duties and serves as the point of contact for the Supervisory Highway Engineer or Acting in the coordination of meetings, schedules, conferences, hearings, and other key organizational activities.
Maintains office automation correspondence tracking systems.
Provides input to and/or reviews all external/internal correspondence and documents to ensure that position, policies and direction is accurately stated and that all information is properly coordinated.
Serves as Records Coordinator, occasionally serving as team leader and subject matter expert on assignments to review records management policy, plans, procedures and goals.
Receives and processes all incoming mail, faxes and electronic mail by logging in, electronically scanning and filing for timely action.
Assist with the coordination of meetings, conferences, special projects, training.
Makes travel arrangements, maintains office supplies and services, contacting vendors and coordinating repair of equipment.
Manages front desk and ensures all phone calls and visitors are directed to appropriate staff.
Assists with electronic records management for Transportation office.

Qualifications
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: (OPM Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, GS-0303).
GS-7: I have at least 1 year of full-time specialized experience or the equivalent, comparable to at least the GS-6 in the Federal Service (obtained in either the public or private sector). Specialized experience with administering a records management program; prepare and review correspondence; make travel arrangements and process vouchers; arrange for conferences, meetings, and training sessions; ensure that all requests for action or information are acted upon and due dates are met; assist with budget activities; process time and attendance records.
GS-6: I have at least 1 year of full-time specialized experience or the equivalent, comparable to at least the GS-5 in the Federal Service (obtained in either the public or private sector). Specialized experience with maintaining records and files; prepare correspondence; input data into a database or system of record; make travel arrangements; receive telephone calls and visitors and assists.
