About the Position: You will function as an Administrative Support Assistant (OA) with the Army Corps of Engineers, Nashville District, Real Estate Division, located in Nashville, TN.
Duties
Ensure correct input of all time and attendance into the system.
Track personnel related functions which include appraisals, schedules and awards.
Ensure that proper project and accounting codes are used when completing labor reports.
Assist supervisor with preparing and tracking of personnel-related functions such as appraisals, schedules, awards, training.
Manage budget on training and awards.
Assist in preparing and tracking the operating budget for assigned areas.
Prepare charts, spreadsheets, graphs, and other visual displays based on work from rough drafts or samples.
Use a variety of software to perform advanced automated functions to support the work of the office.
Process travel documents and make travel arrangements for staff.
Update computer spreadsheets and databases on a regular basis to facilitate office automation.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify at the GS-07 grade level, you must have:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes executing procedures such as preparing correspondence; maintaining files/records; making travel arrangements; maintaining inventory records for hand receipt accounts on property; making credit card purchases; gathering narrative and statistical budgetary data; prepare and monitor labor and fund requests; use an automated personnel database to initiate personnel actions; serve as timekeeper and or complete weekly labor reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
OR
Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business or Administration.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
OR
Have the experience as described in A AND the education described in B. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
