Duties
Serves as Chief Business and Recreation Division, and as such plans, manages, directs, coordinates and supervises the functions, programs and activities of the division and performs delegated personnel management responsibilities.
Plans, directs, coordinates, and evaluates community wide revenue generating programs.
Manages the formulation and execution of annual budget, funded through appropriated and non-appropriated funds.
Determines program strengths and weaknesses and devises ways to improve services, reduce operational costs, and increase efficiency.
Approves leaves for key personnel, initiates and approves personnel action request, interviews applicants for key positions and makes selections.
Requirements

- A one-year Supervisory probationary period may be required.

Qualifications
Qualified candidates will possess all of the following:
progressively responsible work experience performing the following duties:
planning, managing, directing, coordinating and supervising the functions, programs and activities of a division;
establishing standards for programs;
developing and executing annual budgets; and
experience studying programs and services to determine/evaluate services, needs, acceptance and use., AND
work experience in a supervisory capacity, AND
knowledge of the goals, concepts and techniques of a community activities program, to include recreation, sports, entertainment and art as well as general management and business operations of various facilities.
