You will serve as a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (OS/SYSADMIN) in the N611 DIVISION of NAVAL AIR STATION FALLON.

Duties
You will evaluate application software to assess feasibility of integration within established systems.
You will conduct systems diagnostics to verify the availability and functionality of systems.
You will develop solutions to support mitigation and resolution of information technology (IT) customer complaints on computer issues.
You will diagnose an information system to maintain reliability of services to support customers.
You will discuss information assurance (IA) activities with managers to maintain a consistent approach to the IA program.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- The employee must comply with the DOD Manual 8140.03 (Cyberspace Workforce Qualification and Management Program). Selectee will have twelve months to become certified at appropriate levels.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position in specialty area 411 (Technical Support Specialist) at the intermediate level.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) implementing system diagnostic and maintenance tools to ensure the availability and functionality of systems; 2) maintaining computer and network systems software and hardware and documenting physical configurations and operating procedures; 3) planning and coordinating installation of new products or equipment; working closely with customer officials; resolving installation problems and identifying security vulnerability and risks; 4) resolving complex customer issues, troubleshooting and advising customers to provide support, minimizing interruptions to business operations; and 5) installing and maintaining operating environment to include: compilers, utilities, communications systems, system management products, third-party systems software, security packages, scheduling systems and applications software packages. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
