As a Executive and Protocol Officer, you will support the Director and Deputy Director, HOC, and is often called upon to act in their behalf. Office of River Protection and Richland Operations Office, provides guidance to the Director and staff relating to policies, priorities, protocols, practices, and procedures to assure smooth and efficient operations of the division and protocol guidance to staff for dignitary events.
Duties
As an Executive and Protocol Officer, you will:
Serves as a senior advisor to management and executive leadership on the development and implementation of strategic plans to achieve program objectives.
Analyzes organizational performance data to develop trends, draw conclusions, and provide recommendations.
Formulates plans and provides managerial advice and program support for all aspects of HOC operations and assigned programs.
Develops programmatic options for satisfying Hanford's changing requirements based on management policies, procedures, and techniques.
Serves as a Protocol Program Officer facilitating the protocol program responsibilities of the Hanford Communications Office.
Advises and prepares senior leaders to take part in activities and ceremonies or special events by advising on sequence of events, appropriate dress, gifts, observance of customs and knowledge of event background and history.

Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS FOR GS-14: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-13 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following:
Experience supporting the strategic planning process by analyzing and recommending goals and milestones in environmental cleanup projects.
Experience collaborating within a cross-functional team on planning activities for short- and long-term projects.
Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with individuals involved in events/activities associated with various organizational programs to analyze and support in coordinating complex events to conclusion.
