Duties
Major Duties of the Position:
DUTY 1: Teaching. Instruct undergraduates in evolutionary biology and associated subject areas. Prepare course materials aligned with published course descriptions and provide extra instruction outside of normal class hours for students who require it. Continuously facilitate, assess, and improve cadet learning. Remain current on teaching methods to ensure the most innovative and effective approaches are being used. Incorporate teaching concepts, mentoring methods, means of enhancing the students' learning processes, and educational strategies and techniques with fellow instructors. DUTY 2: Engage in scholarly and professional activities to maintain academic currency in the area of specialization. Prepare manuscripts, papers, journals, reports, and/or presentations containing the findings of research which are suitable for publication. Pursue professional development through membership in professional organizations. Participate in conferences as a discussant or session organizer. DUTY 3: Service and Administration. Serve as an adviser to undergraduate biology majors. Participate in faculty governance by attending department and faculty meetings and serving on departmental committees when requested. Provide advice and counsel to improve the quality of educational programs.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Ph.D. in Biology from an accredited college/university.

EDUCATION:

FOREIGN EDUCATION:
Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the educational requirements. However, you must show proof that the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in a conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying in the form of an "official" statement of U.S. equivalency from a Department of Education approved (non-federal) agency (i.e. AICE, NACES), who will complete a U.S. Standard of Education Conversion.
