This position is located in Office of Field Operations, Office of the Director National Benefits Center, Adjudications Division.
As an Immigration Services Analyst, you will support USCIS operational and administrative functions. Assist in planning management programs or activities impacting fi eld and Service Centeroperations. Support execution of management information systems focused on plans, policies, and procedures related to USCIS goals, objectives and priorities.
Duties
Coordinate with various USCIS offices in order to support and develop USCIS systems, processes, product lines, and management goals that are in alignment with established statutes, guidelines, laws, executive orders, and management directives.
Utilize Microsoft Office programs. Use advanced applications of Excel for data management, manipulation, and analysis to provide management with sound findings. Use Excel to create visual aids to present data and findings.
Use database management skills to conduct data entry, run queries, and create reports that demonstrate advanced knowledge of data analysis skills to support USCIS initiatives, operations, and responsibilities.
Employ project management practices through project completion. Assist with presentations and presentation materials. Use time management tools and available technology to complete projects.
Identify and utilize diverse data sources to collect relevant information and determine the accuracy of the data and identify issues. Solve practical problems by using collected data and basic mathematical and statistical techniques.

GS-09: You qualify at the GS-09 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:
Providing assistance to higher graded analysts by developing background information for studies.
Developing background information for studies.
Researching official documents.
Compiling and charting statistical data.
Collecting information from subject matter experts and supervisors, verbally and in writing.
Gathering, summarizing and analyzing information for incorporation into final reports. - Carrying out specified portions or
segments of specific projects.
Identifying and recommending solutions to problems. OR
You may substitute a Master's degree or 2 full years of graduate education leading to such a degree in any fi eld or a J.D. or L.L.B. degree forexperience required at the GS-09 grade level. Such education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to dothe work of this position. Check with your school to determine how many credit hours comprise two years of graduate education. If that information is not available, use 36 semester or 54 quarterhours.
