About the Position: Incumbent will perform a variety of purchasing, storing, inventorying, delivering, and administrative support duties.

Duties

Perform a variety of supply duties relating to the requisition, receipt, storage, issue, replenishment, inventory, and control of supplies standard medical and non-medical (stocked and non-stocked) items. Forecast and maintain stock levels and supply flow according to usage rates, delivery time, current demand, items on hand, and cost based on quantities ordered. Prepare requisitions and supporting documents. Review status of actions, changes in requirements, reconcile due outs, and expedites delivery of urgently required items through correspondence and telephone calls. Provide guidance and required training to all clinic staff on supply matters. Verify quantity, units of issue, and description of material received against document

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 1 security investigation or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
  • This position requires the incumbent to have tuberculosis testing.
  • Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.

OR Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementInventory ManagementSupply SupportTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-04).
