Performs multiple and varying assignments as a Consolidated Automation System for Time and Labor Entry (CASTLE) Specialist under the limited direction of the manager or more experienced professional in the Administrative Systems Section (AMK-214).
Duties
Performs assignments in implementing enhancements or changes to the Consolidated Automated System for Time and Labor Entry (CASTLE) system for the Department of Transportation (DOT) as a CASTLE Specialist under the close direction of the manager or more experienced professional. Typical assignments include testing information system(s) that execute in a client-server or Web based environment, ensuring that project and agency standards are addressed, including various industry standard, such as ISO 20000 and/or ISO 9000:2001. Also requires knowledge and experience with T&A system, web browsers, and miscellaneous software tools.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position at the FV-H (FG/GS 10-12) level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-G (FG/GS 5-9) level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized Experienceincludes: experience with system development; collecting, recording and analyzing data; integration of information systems components; applying timekeeping rules and regulations; providing system support for site preparation, training, and post implementation user supportANDIndividuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.
