As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.This position is located in the Enterprise Services Center, AMK-220. The position is a Supervisory IT Specialist and directs the work of an IT unit.

Duties

These types of positions supervision and guidance to subordinate employees to administer, develop, deliver, and support information technology (IT) systems and services. The paramount requirement is knowledge of IT principles, concepts, and methods; e.g., data storage, software applications, and networking. Information technology refers to systems and services used in the automated acquisition, storage, manipulation, management, movement, control, display, switching, interchange, transmission, assurance, or reception of information. Information technology includes computers, network components, peripheral equipment, software, firmware, services, and related sources.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).
  • A one-year supervisor/managerial probationary period may be required.
  • Successful completion of a security investigation may be required.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position at the FV-K level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-J (FG/GS-14) level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized Experience includes: Experience planning and communicating organizational objectives; directing work of IT subordinates across organizational units; oversight and/or management of physical/virtual servers and SAN/NAS storage Infrastructure, to include Cloud computing; oversight of patching processes, reporting, and compliance management; providing oversight of Data Center operations and Service Level Agreements utilizing the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework, Agile and DevOps methodologies.
