About the Position: Position may be filled as a temporary promotion NTE 3 years. Temporary promotions may be extended up to a maximum of 5 years.
Duties
Establish and maintain effective relationships and communications at senior leader level to facilitate Foreign Military Sales and security assistance management policies, processes and procedures.
Represent United States Security Assistance Command concerning the security assistance and security assistance and security cooperation mission, functions, programs, command structures, and relationships.
Assess Combatant Command (COCOM) regional affairs, trends and objectives in order to support security assistance actions or planning for future events.
Plan and execute studies, reports, memoranda, and papers as necessary, in a clear, concise, and effective manner in order to support mission requirements.
Requirements
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) up to 30% may be required.
- The position requires DoD SC Workforce (SCW) Certification. The incumbent must complete certification-related training requirements in the SC Area of Concentration (AoC) within the timeframe associated with the position’s SCW certification level.

**NOTE - Position may be filled as a temporary promotion or detail NTE 3 years by a current permanent Army employee. Temporary promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Return rights to permanent position are not automatic and are subject to approval from the losing organization. If return rights are not agreed upon, the employee will not be placed in the temporary promotion or detail. If an employee is not granted administrative rights, the employee may still elect to be placed however, they become subject to the time limited action and will not return to their permanent position. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes establishing and maintaining effective relationships and communications to facilitate Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Country Program Management (CPM) to include security assistance management policies, processes and procedures; representing a command concerning the security assistance and security cooperation mission, functions, programs, command structures, and relationships; assessing regional affairs, trends and objectives in order to support security assistance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-13.
