THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST-Title 5 OBO, Position Description Number T5696000 and is part of the WI 115 LRS, Wisconsin Air National Guard.
Duties
Performs developmental assignments of moderately difficult and complex nature consisting of well-precedented tasks designed to orient the employee in the application of General Supply programs and activities.
Completed work is evaluated for technical soundness, appropriateness, and conformity to policy and requirements.
Incumbent determines the practices and procedures to use in accomplishing conventional tasks and interprets and adapts guidelines in order to resolve procedural or factual issues.
Carries out special projects and participates in special initiatives and studies.
Drafts or prepares a variety of documents to include newsletter items, responses to routine inquiries, reports, letters, and other related documents.

Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training involving administration of supply management, storage, cataloging, packaging and distribution or other work which provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify at the GS-09 level you must have at least 1-year specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Experience conducting extensive searches for required information and/or provide supply operations support for supply activities. Able to identify, read and interpret governing supply regulations. Ability to track, stock, move, and verify parts in the warehouse. Independently plan and carry out successive steps and handle problems and deviations in work assignments in accordance with instructions, policies, or accepted practices. Skilled in computer software such as Excel, PDF, and other warehousing computer programs. General knowledge of ILSS is a plus.
Education
Specialized experience may be substituted for the following: master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related
Graduate Education: Education at the graduate level in an accredited college or university meets the requirements for positions at GS-7 through GS-11. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 1 year of full-time study requirement.
Part-time graduate education is creditable in accordance with its relationship to a year of full-time study at the school attended.
