You will serve as a PASS & ID/VEHICLE REGISTRATION CLERK in the Provost Marshal Office/Marine Corps Police Department of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION YUMA.
Duties
You will issue appropriate decals; provide advice and assistance to retired and active duty personnel, civilian and contract employees, vendors and others inquiring about regulations and requirements.
You will review. process and issue applications for requests for vehicle registrations, privately owned weapons registrations and bicycle registrations.
You will ensure operating supplies are maintained, maintain the ID Card computer system and camera equipment; update and train on the system(s).
You will maintain account of vehicle registration decals issued on-hand.
You will prepare statistical reports, charts, and graphs pertaining to vehicle registrations and traffic violation data.
You will process and de-register weapons and vehicles; destroy weapon registration cards.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen; pass a National Agency Check and a local background check.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- Work regularly includes assignment to a rotating shift, including weekends and holidays. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications
GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing clerical work related to the processing of vehicle, motorcycle, pet, bike, or weapon registrations; AND providing temporary passes for visitors entering an installation.
GS-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of general experience in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. General experience must demonstrate the following: progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled.

Education
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE:
GS-05: Successfully completed four years of education above the High School level.
GS-04 Successfully completed at least two full academic years of education above high school
OR a combination of experience and education as described that equates to one year of experience. Percentage of the required education plus percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
** This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school.
