About the Position: This position is located within the Joint Pacific Multinational Readiness Center (JPMRC), at Fort Shafter, Hawaii.

Duties
Carry out high priority assignments, studies, and projects personally assigned by the Supervisor on a wide variety of sensitive and confidential matters.
Utilize a thorough knowledge of the program prepares daily, weekly and short-suspense status reports to staff elements and higher headquarters.
Review and evaluates all incoming correspondence to determine mission requirements and assigns projects, studies and work load distribution to branch action officers.
Review all outgoing correspondence to ensure completeness and compliance with existing directives, policy/procedures.
Review and analyzes incoming staff actions and decision correspondence.
Draft and coordinates internal and external situation reports (SITREPS). Manages and synchronizes the MSE’s organizational common operating picture and calendar.
Serve as the advisor to the Supervisor on both technical and administrative matters relating to the accomplishment, coordination and disposition of a variety of substantive staff actions and assignments.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a "Secret" security clearance for the duration of employment.
- TDY Travel required up to approximately 50% of the total duty time.
- During rotational exercises, the employee is required to work a flexible duty hours which includes - weekends, holidays, and shift work consistent of 10-12 hours days for an extended 2-week period.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing training exercises and activities; assisting in the decision making process for training plans, exercises, operations, readiness and procedures according to standards; coordinating actions in the proper channels and developing policies that incorporate the principle of command and control. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
