You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the COLUMBIA Class Project Department of SUPERVISOR OF SHIPBUILDING GROTON.
Duties
You will monitor progress and track data on millions of dollars on all contracts within the COLUMBIA Class Project Office cognizance.
You will enter and track Work Deferral Request (WDR) documents to ensure work progresses through various SUPSHIP departments and NAVSEA to support Key Event requirements.
You will manage and update spreadsheet of Change Management Team (CMT) items maintained by Production Controller assigned to CMT.
You will enter Change Notices (CNs) in the Technical Support Management System (TSM) and notify appropriate ship or combat systems coordinator and Production Controllers that there is a CN requiring their action.
You will evaluate, advise, and execute process improvements of organization, methods, and procedures for providing administrative support systems such as records, communications, directives, forms, files, and documentation.
You will analyze spending data by Electric Boat and graphically compare to funding available for specific ships (Generate Usage charts).
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing administrative or management tasks (e.g., data analysis, tracking construction projects and resources, preparing reports or metrics, monitoring contracts) in support of ship or submarine projects.

Education
Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows:
One full year of graduate level education; OR,
A bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement.
