Duties
You will be responsible for the planning, managing, supervising, directing, evaluating and effective operations of the Engineering Department, Audit Branch.
You will serve on technical and management teams to influence the technical evolution of the design, quality of production and to assure that the processes and procedures that define the program align with current requirements.
You will be responsible for compiling and monitoring execution of the Engineering Department portion of the Command Audit plan including determining samples and distributing Navy Approval Not Required (NANR) documents for review.
You will coordinate and conduct audits on the contractor's Quality Management System (QMS).
You will conduct analysis of statistical data for improving quality processes.
You will provide leadership and guidance to other quality assurance personnel in the department on complex quality related issues as they arise.
You will evaluate and audit t program requirements, systems/procedures, and documentation for design and engineering products/components.
You will provide written evaluations of employee performance to his/her manager and conducts performance appraisals.
You will recommend action to promote employee incentive awards when appropriate.
You will provide advice and counsel to employees on matters affecting work, employment or conditions, referring problems to his/her manager, as appropriate.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-02 (GS-11 Equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector coordinating the analysis of quality assurance data or processes to develop solutions in resolving quality control problems, deficiencies, or non-conformance.
