About the Position: This position serves as the point of contact for the Student Testing Program for the ASVAB Career Exploration Program for the Military Entrance Processing area of responsibility. The duty location for this position is in Las Vegas, NV. This is NOT a remote position.
This is a TERM position with provisions to be made permanent.

Duties
Implement the ASVAB marketing plan by initiating contacts with schools to meet testing goals.
Ensure all test scheduling materials are sent to schools in accordance with regulations.
Compile and analyze testing data to evaluate the effectiveness, identify improvements, and develop innovative ideas.
Maintain the command database of school information.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
- This position may require you to work an occasional Saturday and/or shift work (Work before 0600 or after 1800 hours).
- Business travel up to 15% may be required.
- This position requires the ability to possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
- This position may require shift work, including weekends.

This position is TERM not to exceed 2 years with provisions to be made permanent.
Army employees who accept a time-limited appointment (to include employees with personal competitive status) will be separated at the end of the time-limited appointment date if the Not-to-Exceed (NTE) date is not extended.
Employees are not eligible for a detail in the OCONUS area unless already residing in the same overseas area (foreign or non-foreign) as the position being filled. Employees currently located in OCONUS (foreign or non-foreign) are not eligible for a detail to a CONUS position.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience and/or education requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes demonstrated providing customer service (providing information to customers face-to-face and/or over the phone within an office environment); assisting in coordinating and/or scheduling test sessions within a military or other adult educational vocational program; AND assisting in providing technical guidance regarding compliance of testing procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as business management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-GS-06).
Education
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
