Duties
As a Supervisory Management Analyst, you will:
Assign, direct and review the work of subordinate employees; plan schedules and coordinate work operations of the Division; resolve problems related to the work of the Division; develop the subordinate staffs performance standards; approve/disapprove employee requests for leave and rates performance; recommend awards and take disciplinary action when necessary.
In the absence of the Director, serve as the acting official in managing region wide functions of the office, including office administers, operational and resource functions; supervises office staff; and signs official correspondence.
Advise and assist the RA in the resolution of cross cutting policy and program problems.
Evaluate and report on the effectiveness and efficiency of program delivery and management of Departmental programs within the region.
Recommend immediate corrective action wherever problems are found; wherever Headquarters policies, standards, or procedures are not being followed.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
For the GS-14: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Analyzing and evaluating issues related to office operations; AND
Contributing to the development of policies; AND
Developing reports for management officials that outline findings and recommend solutions; AND
Coordinating projects and building relationships with organizations in designated communities. (e.g., government and advocacy groups).
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14 you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
