The primary purpose of the position is to provide training, technical consultation and oversight of specific FFS programs or program components within the CNRNDW FFS programs area of responsibility.
Duties
Technical Advisor to the RWFLC duties comprise 60% of incumbent's time & include but are not limited to:
Requirements
- Incumbent may be required to travel up to 20% of the time for the purpose of attending or providing training and/or to provide direct services at a site within the CNRNDW area of responsibility.

Qualifications
Knowledge of training and education principles to be used in developing programs necessary to counter any inherent psychological and/or socioeconomic stresses by prolonged separations, deployments, frequent moves and other factors inherent in the Navy lifestyle which affects individuals, families, mission performance, and command readiness.
Knowledge and understanding of requirements and operations of DoD and DON Emergency Family Assistance, Mass Care Programs, NFAAS emergency case management, and the Navy Repatriation Program.
Knowledge of the emergency management policies and procedures of multiple federal agencies, state and local governments, in addition to those of the DoD.
Knowledge of military and Family Life programs in a military organization, center, administration, policies/procedures, and practices in conducting day-to-day operations.
Knowledge of deployment support as it relates to all stages of mobilizations, and deployments.
Knowledge of military systems, communities, and resources available to members, civilians, family members, and contractors.
Knowledge of Federal and agency regulations; knowledge of the specific organization's programs and missions, as well as knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations and policies related to program/operations area to consider their impact on programs.
Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques in the development of new procedures and approaches to identify and resolve significant issues and problems of a unique nature.
Skill in analyzing issues, identifying best course of action, determining potential impact on the organization, and recommending corrective actions.
Ability to adapt to changing working conditions and frequent interruptions involving frequent pressures of short deadlines.
Ability to formulate plans of action and milestones for accomplishment of tasks and perform a number of concurrent tasks, setting priorities and coordinating completion within required deadlines.
Ability to develop, implement, and deliver training.
Ability to maintain constant awareness of barriers impeding mission accomplishment.
Ability to work professionally with personnel at all levels to ensure successful working relationships and responsiveness to mission accomplishment.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing in order to prepare and present findings and recommend solutions; compose a variety of correspondence, instructions, responses to complaints/inquiries and other matters.
Education
Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
or
Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
or
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
