The Primary Purpose of the Position is: To provide Management Analyst duties and ADPAC duties for the SCI Chief, SCI Administrative Officer, Staff Physicians, SCI Administrative Office and the SCI staff.
The Organizational Location of the Position is: Administrative Section, Spinal Cord Injury Service, VANTHCS, Dallas, Texas.
Duties
Duties include but not limited to:
Conducts data validation studies to ensure that accurate data are entered and collected correctly and timely by personnel regarding patient care.
Collects and analyzes data from a wide variety of sources and formats same into usable information for the SCI Chief, Administrative Officer, and other members of the SCI services for tracking, evaluation and programming purposes.
Prepares a series of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports reflecting the activities of the Service. Assembles statistical data required for site visits and accreditation reports.
The Incumbent provides plans and conducts comprehensive analytical studies such as appointment delays, productivity, expenditures.
Prepares and delivers oral presentations such as briefings, trainings, and strategy sessions with personnel to resolve controversial matters.
Coordinates requests for data information and services from SCI internal and external stakeholders with SCI Administrative leadership.
Communicate effectively orally and in writing with people from a variety of backgrounds, including peers, supervisors, clinical, administrative staff, chief executives, health care providers, and other internal/external stakeholders.
Uses advanced functions to generate tables of contents, import graphs or databases, and performs word processing and general desktop publishing functions using applicable Microsoft Office applications.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 01/11/2024.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-09 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-07 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience includes: Conducting special analytical studies to resolve programmatic, organizational, or functional problems. Preparing and interpreting statistical data for various sources and reports. Establish and maintain effective communications with persons both within and outside the organization. OR,
Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have Education: A master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related . (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED) OR,
Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have an combination of specialized experience and education beyond: 6 months of specialized experience equivalent to GS-7 and 1 year of graduate level education. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED).

Physical Requirements: The work involves intense concentration and relatively long periods of sitting with some walking. Training involves standing and walking during interactions with Executive Leadership, Service Chiefs, Supervisors, and other medical staff and as appropriate. Work is generally sedentary, working predominately with the computer, but standing, bending, walking, and carrying of lightweight items such as reports, and manuals are required.
