The primary purpose of this position is: Serves as the Executive Staff Support Officer as the primary Tasker Management Tool manager, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) monitor, Privacy Act (PA) monitor, within the A1 Action Group with responsibility for providing administrative management support to the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS), Manpower, Personnel and Services.
Duties
Manage and direct the day to day task management operations of the DCS, Manpower, Personnel and Services.
Expedites priority taskers assigned to DCS, Manpower, Personnel and Services.
Responsible as the DCS, Manpower, Personnel and Services directorate Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act Monitor (PA).

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes : (1) thorough knowledge of the organization, programs, missions, and functions of the Air Force A1 portfolio and Air Force organization; (2) skill in creating, planning, coordinating and maintaining a wide-range of taskers from Congressional inquiries, SECAF, CSAF, CMSAF, and other Headquarters Air Force offices; (3) astute interpersonal skills are vital to ensure crucial information is gathered from Headquarters Air Force, MAJCOMs and other appropriate agencies/departments for use in completing taskers; (4) skill in working with counterparts across Headquarters Air Force and within DCS. Intensive formulation and coordination of Air Force position/policy on A1 programs; (5) knowledge of proper written and oral rules and protocol in responding to inquiries and questions from Congress, OSD, Headquarters Air Staff, Secretarial Staff, MAJCOMs, and outside agencies; (6) comprehensive knowledge and understanding of range of staff concepts, objectives, policies, management/organizational techniques, and military command.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of the theories, principles, functions and processes of management to identify, analyze, and recommend solutions to problems or to develop planning guidance.
2. Ability to research problems and issues, including evaluating the content of new or modified policy to determine its impact on the organization1s programs or resources.
3. Skill in written/oral communication to prepare briefings or recommendations to managers and negotiating solutions to disputed recommendations. Judgment in problem solving.
4. Knowledge of managing and directing the day to day operations of an organization and providing advice, guidance and assistance with regard to task management within the organization.
5. Skill in organizing and delivering briefings to encourage understanding and acceptance of findings and recommendations. Develops and implements plans, timetables, tasking and overall coordination of work; serves as principal organizational contact.
6. Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of document such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs. Ability to locate, assemble and compose information for reports, inquiries, technical and non-technical correspondence
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
