The position serves as an Executive Officer (EO) located in the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), U.S. National Central Bureau of the International Criminal Police Organization (USNCB), also known as INTERPOL Washington. The incumbent of this position serves as a principal advisor and staff officer to the Director and Deputy Director of the USNCB.
Duties
Provides leadership with recommendations, consultation and action to improve INTERPOL Washington operations.
Serves as the main liaison with the DOJ Office of the Attorney General and Deputy Attorney General.
Serves as the principal assistant to the Deputy Director for the management and execution of major functions.
Monitors Congressional activities of interest including the status of significant legislation and the budget process.
Conducts or participates in conferences, discussions, and meetings with staff, operating units and other Executive Branch personnel.
Requirements
- You must be a United States Citizen or National.
- You will be required to complete a pre-employment security investigation and background check which includes a drug screening.
- You may be required to complete a one-year probationary or two-year trial period.

Qualifications
To qualify for the position of Executive Officer of Operations at (GS-0301-15), you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade you're applying to.
If you are a current or former government employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level, to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade. Additionally, please ensure to submit an applicable SF50 (please refer to the "required documents" section for additional information).
Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is defined as: Serving as a principal advisor to upper management; Overseeing operational and administrative initiatives of an organization; Overseeing the development of policies and guidance of an organization; AND Experience managing work to be accomplished.

Education
