About the Position: This position is part of the Strategic and Organizational Excellence Division, in the Project and Risk Management Branch located at the Mark Center Building in Alexandria, VA.

Duties

Serves as Project Manager for the overall management, control, coordination and execution of specified projects for DoDEA. Provides technical support, expert staff assistance, and is responsible for determining the number of personnel required to successfully accomplish project requirements Extrapolates from existing methods and procedures to future requirements in developing timely and executable plans of action for assigned projects and to provide recommendations and advice to the stakeholders, supervisor and/or other specialists Independently identifies complex project issues, risks, or problems in assigned projects, and makes recommendations for, and coordinates, resolutions and improvements. Recognizes potential improvement opportunities and advises management of opportunities in improving processes throughout the organization. Actions may.

Requirements

For the GS-13 Grade Level:Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes administering and coordinating projects for the organization to include: Manage, control, coordinate and execute specific projects; Provides proposal, cost estimates, schedules, and funding expenditures; Analyzes project performance data to identify issues and make recommendations for project and process improvement; Identify issues, risks, or problems in assigned projects, and make recommendations for, and coordinates, resolutions and improvements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementOral CommunicationProject ManagementQuality Management Time in Grade Requirement for the GS-12: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
