Duties
Coordinate managerial direction over the integration the supply, maintenance, new equipment training, fielding, item introduction provisioning and in other related logistical functions for assigned systems during all phases of the life cycle.
Provide area support to assigned systems for combat forces which makes the logistics support mission unusually complex and requires a broad knowledge of all facets of logistics support.
Manage the efforts of contractor and government personnel to ensure requirements of the Integrated Logistics Support Plan (ILSP) are performed.
Manage the development of and review the ILSP, training plan, Major Item Distribution Plan and budget for assigned systems and/or equipment.
Serve as the authority on ILS/Manpower and Personnel Integration (MANPRINT) matters involving comprehensive knowledge of logistics and related functions.
Represent supervisor, project/program manager and command at high level conferences and meetings with representatives from DOD, DA, AMC, Army Commands, Army Service Component Commands, etc.
Participate with supervisor in setting priorities, short range planning, and integrating the work of various team members to produce a unified product.
Requirements
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- This position requires a Secret security clearance.
- This position requires a Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450.
- Required to obtain Level III Certification in Life Cycle Logistics within 24 months of entrance on duty as well as meet applicable DoDI 5000.66 requirements.

The incumbent must complete certification-related training requirements in the Security Cooperation (SC) Area of Concentration (AoC) within the timeframe associated with the position's SCW certification level:
1 year (Basic); 3 years (Intermediate); or 5 years (Advanced); and
Complete certification-related continuous learning requirements in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2017, Title 10 United States Code, Section 384. Incumbent(s) of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense, Defense Security Cooperation Agency, and Department of the Army requirements of the SCW certification program.
This is an Army Acquisition Workforce (AAW) position. The employee must meet the DoDI 5000.66 requirements applicable to the Career Category/Functional Area and the Career Level Certification assigned on the sequenced position Conditions of Employment data fieldsin the header of the PD/PRD.Foundational Career Level Certification or Contracting Professional Certification must be met within 3 years.Practitioner Career Level Certification must be met within 5 years.Advanced Career Level Certification must be met within 4 years.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:1). Experience supporting major weapons systems at the field or unit level;2). Experience in three or more areas of logistic operations or management programs e.g., deployment, foreign military sales, procurement, maintenance, supply, training, distribution, provisioning, and readiness to include the technical ability to resolve major weapon system issues; AND3) Experience supporting the Technical Writing of Electronic Publications to support major weapon systems.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
