The ideal candidates will have: Significant staff operations functions experience and skill in leading, managing and supervising people with the ability to oversee the efforts of subordinate organizations.
DUTIES:
Lead and supervise a team of multi-disciplined professionals to manage a Staffing Management Division.
Effectively supervises employees by practicing and complying with applicable occupational health and safety rules and practices; security requirements; fiscal/resource constraints; change management principles; and the administration's and department's recruitment and hiring reform initiatives.
Plan, organize, and oversee the activities of the Staffing Management Division. Develops goals and objectives that integrate Center goals and objectives.
Staffing and Tasking Analysis and Management (35%): Analyze all unclassified and classified taskings received to determine the appropriate office of primary responsibility.
Identify and resolve highly complex problems crossing organizational boundaries and promulgate solutions.
Review staffing products from both TMT and other sources to ensure quality and timeliness. Collect data and analyze metrics regarding quality and timeliness of tasking responses.
SKILLS:
Candidates should have demonstrated proficiency in staff operations functions in order to develop and implement innovative approaches and solutions to issues.
Candidates should have demonstrated experience leading in a team environment.
Candidates should have strong leadership and communication skills.
Candidates should have demonstrated knowledge of SAF/AQ, HAF/A10, AFMC, AFGSC, and AFNWC missions, objectives, procedures and how those interrelate with other program areas; and knowledge of the applicable regulatory framework.
Candidates should possess analytical ability and strategic thought to discern short, medium, and long-term effects of change in staff operations practices, procedures, and policies, and to effectively analyze the various components of staff operations.
Ability to communicate and interact effectively at the highest levels of Center leadership in order to achieve stated positions or to make an adequate case for a particular strategy to achieve overall AFNWC goals and objectives.

- Selectee is expected to be granted with and/or maintain the appropriate security clearance required for the position

- Supervisory requirements may be required depending upon the position being filled.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of staff operations functions in order to develop and implement innovative approaches and solutions to staff operations issues and to provide definitive input on how proposed changes would be detrimental or would enhance the mission and objectives of the AFNWC.
Skill in leading, managing, and supervising people with the ability to oversee the efforts of subordinate organizations responsible for various aspects of staff operations management across the AFNWC to include its geographically-separated units.
Knowledge of SAF/AQ, HAF/A10, AFMC, AFGSC, and AFNWC missions, objectives, procedures and how those interrelate with other program areas; and knowledge of the applicable regulatory framework.
Analytical ability and strategic thought to discern short, medium, and long-term effects of change in staff operations practices, procedures, and policies, and to effectively analyze the various components of staff operations as part of an integrated whole.
Ability to communicate and interact effectively at the highest levels of Center leadership in order to achieve stated positions or to make an adequate case for a particular strategy to achieve overall AFNWC goals and objectives.
