About the Position: Serves as Quality Assurance Specialist/Evaluator and Contracting Officer Representative for the Logistics Readiness Center.

Duties

Analyzes monthly workload data and provides trend analysis. Ensures contract documents are available electronically, monitors permission access, and ensures secure access to electronic files. Maintains records and files, and documents discrepancies, deficiency reports and other findings. Serves as a Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS), responsible for planning, developing, and implementing quality assurance; and assisting Contracting Officer Representatives (COR) in management functions. Consults with management of mission directorates regarding their quality responsibilities, control systems, and problem areas.

  • Must obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes but is not limited to assisting in quality assurance surveillance of assigned contracts to ensure compliance; monitoring and assessing contractor performance and progress to avoid or minimize delays. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management or other fields related to the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Inspection ManagementProduct and Service ExaminationQuality AssuranceTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
