The position serves as a Management & Program Analyst located in the Department of Justice (DOJ), United States Parole Commission, Office of Budget and Management. The office provides management and advisory services to the Chairman, Commissioners, Chief of Staff, and managers and supervisors in the areas of budget and financial management, human resources management and training, contracts and procurement, facilities and property management, and security (Human Capital, contractor, and space).

The Management & Program Analyst serves as an integral part of the U.S. Parole Commission's management team. The incumbent will:
Research for internal administrative processes, such as space coordination, internal audits, purchasing, training, etc.
Assist in equipment provisioning and the monitoring and tracking of accountable property. Liaises with support operation offices to fulfill property requirements per DOJ and Federal regulations and procedures.
Advises, consults, and provides technical services to USPC management on a broad range of administrative and human resources issues that involve complex and controversial issues.
Provide interpretations, recommendations, and authoritative guidance to both supervisors and employees on numerous human capital matters such as leave, overtime, within grade increases,
employee benefits, performance appraisals, etc.
Requirements
- You must be a United States Citizen or National.
- You will be required to complete a pre-employment security investigation and background check which includes a drug screening.
- You may be required to complete a one-year probationary or two-year trial period.
- Selective Service registration is required for males born on, or after, December 31st 1959. Those not registered should have an approved exemption on file.

Qualifications
To qualify for the position of Management & Program Analyst at (GS-0343-12), you must possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade you're applying to.
If you are a current or former government employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level, to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade. Additionally, please ensure to submit an applicable SF-50 (please refer to the "required documents" section for additional information).
To qualify for GS-0343-12, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
Performing administrative programs through analysis of historical and current activities, anticipated program initiatives and priorities, and manpower trends;
Briefing results of studies to management; and, makes recommendations, participating in implementing plans and/or plan changes, and follows up with any administrative actions as a result of changes;
Consulting with management on proposed reorganizations/realignments and advises on potential effects on positions, career progression, and maximum utilization of skills; AND
Cultivating recognition and award instructions and guidelines for use by managers and supervisors.
