About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Fort Eisenhower, Georgia. The main shift for this position is 2200 - 0600.

Duties

Evaluates Offensive and Defensive Cyberspace and Information Operations to enhance the decision-making process at the combatant command level. Ensures continuous coordination and interface with internal and external organizations to keep abreast of operations plans, exercises, and upcoming requirements, emphasizing the JFHQ-C (A) commander's critical information requirements. Advises multiple commands on operational mission strategies to prevent global crisis and for the Continuation of operations, such as operational supporting unified combatant commands (i.e. USCYBERCOM, USCENTCOM, USNORTHCOM and USAFRICOM). Fully prepared and trained to assume the additional responsibilities required during contingencies and crisis operations.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel (CONUS/OCONUS) requirement of 20% of the time.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a three year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in DoDI 1400.25 V3005,
  • Cyber Excepted Service, Employment and Placement. While serving a probationary period the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
  • Must undergo and successfully complete an initial and periodic Counter-Intelligence Polygraph (CI Poly) examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI).
  • Must pass an initial and periodic urinalysis screening for illegal drug use.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain access to NSA and Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) accredited facilities and networks. [Military External Affairs Division (MEAD) Security In-Processing (SIP) process.]
  • All ARCYBER employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployment during crisis situations to perform mission essential function as determined by management.
  • Under crisis operations, may be subject to short notice expanded hours and possible recall-to-duty situations and irregular work hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • This is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Appointment to this position does not confer competitive status.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe One Year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by 1. Utilizes multiple automation and information management systems, hardware, and software to manipulate and produce pertinent information on many complex tasks assignments. 2. Maintains daily command situation reports, notification, information papers, operational messages, operations and intelligence brief along with updating the databases for the organization requirements. 3. Responsible for aspects of the production and dissemination of current operations deliverables per the battle rhythm or as directed. 4. Oversees procedures for contingency and crisis planning for the command.
