This position is established to assist with developing and monitoring FMCSA policies to meet established goals and objectives including stakeholder engagement. Develops, reviews, analyzes, and provides advice and assistance to the Director of Communications and other FMCSA leaders. Performs a variety of analytical and evaluative work relative to management analysis. Participates and makes contributions to management decisions involving preparation for stakeholder engagements.

Qualifications

To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications for the grade at which you are requesting consideration.To qualify for the Grade 12, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-11 it must include: Experience assisting the executive team in analyzing, assessing, and documenting Agency policy positions to meet established goals and objectives. Experience in providing expert technical advice and counsel to senior management. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Interpersonal Skills (‡) - Treats others with courtesy, sensitivity, and respect. Considers and responds appropriately to the needs and feelings of different people in different situations. Writing (*) - Recognizes or uses correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling; communicates information (for example, facts, ideas, or messages) in a succinct and organized manner; produces written information, which may include technical material, that is appropriate for the intended audience. Quality Management - Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools of quality assurance, quality control, and reliability used to ensure that a project, system, or product fulfills requirements and standards. Problem Solving (*) - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
