You will serve as a PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIALIST in the Command Staff of NSSM.
Duties
You will write, edit, and submit articles about the NSA mission and personnel achievements for Commander Navy Region Mid-Atlantic (CNRMA)/Commander Naval Installations Command (CNIC)/NAVY-wide publication.
You will establish and maintain effective working relationships with Public Affairs Officers from tenant commands
You will serve as webmaster/administrator and content manager of the command's public web and social media sites in accordance with current Navy directives

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Interpreting public affairs policies and instructions; 2) Maintaining official websites, social media accounts, and/or content management systems for public affairs information dissemination; 3) Writing speeches, news articles, and/or briefs to disseminate information; 4) Coordinating internal personnel and resources for participation in community relations events ; 5) Develop and manage departmental budget.
