This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the CFO Directorate, OFFICE OF FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT. As a Travel Manager, you will ensure all travel documents are prepared in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations and Treasury and BEP policies and procedures. In addition, you will serve as the BEP's subject matter expert on travel and provide guidance and advice to all BEP travelers.

Duties

As a Travel Manager, you will: Advise and provide recommendations to high-level officials regarding travel regulations as they prepare for travel to domestic and or international localities with high political implications. Develop and implement operational standards, guidance and practices that govern domestic and international travel programs. Conduct and coordinate projects and the preparation of reports and findings on matters pertaining to domestic and or international travel programs. Oversee guidance and training on the Electronic Travel System (ETS), the automated program for recording Travel Authorizations and Vouchers. Obtain a variety of official U.S. Passports and diplomatic passports.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized experience for the GS-13 is one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level, or equivalent in other public or private sectors, that is directly related to the position as listed in this announcement and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position includes experience: Interpreting and applying federal travel regulations; AND Booking both domestic and international travel; AND Aiding in the diplomatic passport application processes; AND Assisting with managing a travel card program. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12level for 52 weeks.
