You will serve as an Inventory Management Specialist in the Public Works Department (PWD) Product Division of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

Duties

You will develop inventory plans, prepare and submit inventory accuracy reports in a timely manner. You will assist Supply Branch staff in developing work methods, techniques, and desk guides to improve the accuracy of inventory records. You will support audit preparation, site visits, and post-audit processes. You will coordinate with PWD staff and counterparts on inventory issues, data calls, and reports.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Develops Inventory plans, prepares and submits inventory accuracy reports in a timely manner; 2) Assists Supply Branch staff in developing work methods, techniques and desk guides to improve the accuracy of inventory records; 3) Supports audit preparation, site visits, and post-audit processes. Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
