You will serve as an Inventory Management Specialist in the Naval Supply Systems Command-NAVSUP, Fleet Logistics Center of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK.
Duties
You will serve as the Assistant Regional Inventory Accuracy Officer (RIAO) with responsibility for assisting the RIAO with overseeing the command wide Inventory Accuracy and will be onsite at the fleet logistics center (FLOC).
You will analyze and draft potential resolution of inventory accuracy processes that affect the NAVSUP FLC Commands.
You will assist the various custodians, work with custodian BSO leads with audit preparation, site visits, post-audit processes, including material management processes such as good issue and receipt posting.
You will review procedures in all areas affecting inventory accuracy, including receipt processing, requisition processing, physical inventory processes such as inventory counts, causative research, and inventory adjustment/reversals.
You will participate in planning initiatives that may influence inventory records or accuracy, such as major re-warehousing efforts, revisions to receiving/receipt control procedures, or development/implementation of new warehouse management systems.
You will ensure systems (eRMS, WebCV, ERP etc) are correctly accounting for inventory.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized Inventory Management Specialist experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing a comprehensive knowledge of applied principles, concepts, and methodologies of inventory management to perform analysis, identifying discrepancies, and taking corrective action of the inventory accuracy process in support of organizational structures and operations. I have experience recommending improved procedures affecting receipt processing, requisition processing, and physical inventory functions such as inventory counts, causative research, inventory adjustments/reversals, reconciliation reports, and dues management. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Participating in planning initiatives that may influence inventory records accuracy, such as warehousing efforts, revisions to receiving/receipt control processes, and/or development/implementation of new warehouse management systems; 2) Submitting inventory accuracy reports that summarize results of inventory control reviews; 3) Ensuring automated material management database systems are correctly accounting for inventory; 4) Providing training and guidance to sites regarding inventory management and accuracy in accordance with policies.
