You will serve as a Inventory Management Specialist in the Fleet Logistics Centers of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK.
Duties
You will assist Fleet Logistics Center organic and external customers in developing work methods, techniques, and standard operating procedures (SOP) for Navy Work Capital Fund Supply management (NWCF-SM) operations.
You will be on-hand to assist with internal and external inventory audit support across operations.
You will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a thorough knowledge of Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD)/Navy supply management and inventory accuracy regulations/policies to perform continuing assignments.
You will investigate problems as they occur, recommend resolutions, and report to chain of command on outcome(s).
You will utilize knowledge of NAVSUP's evolving supply chain, customer requirements, and legacy evaluation criteria to assist in identifying consolidation and strategic opportunities for site reduction and gaining efficiencies.
You will supervise a team of supply specialists and support personnel by directing, managing, and coordinating all functions of the branch.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: overseeing the command wide Inventory Accuracy by ensuring accuracy of data entry, maintaining of inventory custody, and properly accounting for exceptions directly impacting overall readiness and support operations . Specific work experience must demonstrate the following duties: 1) Conduct extensive and exhaustive searches for information to reconstruct records for supply/transportation transactions; 2) Apply knowledge of inventory accuracy policy and physical inventory, location survey, and quality control procedures to review, evaluate, and improve accountability procedures; 3) Utilize methods and techniques for planning, analyzing, and evaluating the effectiveness of supply programs; and 4) Conceive, develop, and implement innovative procedures/methods to increase managerial effectiveness.
