About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Joint Interagency Task Force South, C41 Systems Div, U.S. Southern Command, Key West, FL.

Duties

Provides advice and guidance in the execution of projects and programs associated with the Enterprise Operations Division requiring interpretation. Conducts investigations into new and unconventional technologies, equipment, techniques, and products that may be applicable to JIATF South needs. Manages the day-to-day activities of the division by prioritizing workloads and maintaining suspense tasking accountability with the J6. Serves as supervisor in the J64 Enterprise Operations Division. Develops solutions for a variety of problems in the design of ADP, communications, and network systems. Manages the integration, operation, and maintenance of communications and computer systems providing international and interagency interoperability.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance based on an SSBI with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Requires Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 5% of the time.
