This position is located with Office of the Secretary of Interior, OIMT - Div of Program Mgmt and Business Svcs in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Reston, Virginia. Provides IT project management support and planning for software solutions and processes and systems.
Duties
Coordinate project goals with stakeholders and sponsors for contributions and accountable objectives, to define and meet timelines and milestones.
Manage Information Technology (IT) staff and teams, partners, and vendors in support of assignments and collaborate on IT project deliverables for current, new and modernization solutions.
Ensure project/program related acquisitions follow Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
Provide advice and counsel to staff, handles personnel actions, ensures training is provided, resolves issues/complaints, and manages disciplinary actions, handles leave approvals, time and attendance, performance awards, and adheres to compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity.
Administer project resources and tasks, planning and organizing issues and risks with IT Capital Planning team, Senior Management and Agency officials.
Conduct IT program/project management reviews, statuses, and senior executive briefings to report the progress and outcomes analysis to stakeholders and leadership.
Develops information technology policies, procedures, and guidance in accordance with IT industry best practices and recommend technical strategies for management, agency, and stakeholders.
Coordinate IT project management standards and deliverables as defined by Agency IT guidelines, business operations, information system software standards and methodologies for business process innovation, improvement and enhancement of IT portfolio strategy and program objectives.

To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Your resume must demonstrate at least (1) year of full-time specialized experience comparable in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-13 grade level that equipped you with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. Examples include: Managing Information Technology (IT) program and projects for software solutions and planning for IT processes and systems. Administer multiple project teams and schedules to produce a master schedule analysis and aligning resources. Coordinate project's scope, budgets, cost allocations and project stage gate reviews for execution phases and project life-cycle methodologies. Developing acquisition Performance Work Statements incorporating IT functional tasks, deliverables, acquisition plan scheduling and cost estimates. Conducting contract management scope, solicitation and awarding processes, evaluating project proposals, quality assurance surveillance, and acceptance criteria for deliverables.
