About the Position: This is a permanent position with Army Clinic Moncrief.
Moncrief Army Health Clinic is located on Fort Jackson, South Carolina and is part of the 82 square mile military installation located adjacent to the state capital of Columbia.
Tour of Duty: 0730 to 1630
Duties
Offers guidance to employees concerning policies and procedures.
Organize and synchronize all work needs and projects to uphold the maintenance of patient care buildings.
Act as a facility specialist overseeing the operations, maintenance, repair, and improvement of the Medical Center's property facilities.
Develop initial project scopes, descriptions, and justifications for essential facility modifications.
Supervise contracted technical maintenance services to ensure the effective performance of major and highly complex systems.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Tier 1 Security Investigation is required.
- Obtain and maintain Contracting Officer Representative (COR) certification within 12 months of hire.
- Valid State Driver's License is required.
- Selectee will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This is a mission essential position. This position may require the incumbent to work on any day or shift, including PMs, nights, weekends, holidays, or on an "on call" basis, necessary to meet mission requirements
- Inclement Weather Essential Position. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes includes managing Medical facilities, joint commissions audits, schedules, utilities management, safety, custodial services, maintenance contracts, and service orders; tracking program funding and providing feedback to the senior management on budget execution; and conducting inspections of contracted work and implementing any corrective actions, implementing Joint Commission duties to ensure compliance with medical facility standards through meticulous inspections and thorough audits. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
