You will serve as a DEPUTY OFFICER IN CHARGE in the Wounded Warrior Battalion-East of HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Duties
You will assess patient needs and assist them and their family when and where needed.
You will provide support to wounded, ill, and seriously injured marines, designated sailors, and their families.
You will establish and maintain an open line of communication between patients, parent commands, family members, hospital staff and any other outside agency.
You will evaluate work performance of subordinates; give advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.
You will hear and resolve complaints from employees, referring group grievances and more serious unresolved complaints to a higher level supervisor or manager.
Requirements

- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector serving organizations (e.g., Wounded Warrior Regiment (WWR)) as a liaison between medical centers and patients in assessing non-medical needs; AND providing assistance/support during all phases of recovery and rehabilitation to assist with the return to full duty or transition to civilian life.
