This position is part of the Interior Business Center (IBC), Financial Management Directorate (FMD), IBC FMD Accounting Operations Division, Process Automation Branch. The incumbent will be responsible for providing the full range of financial operation services to a diverse group of clients within DOI, as well as other government agencies.
Duties
Utilizing robotics process automation software, develop new processes/tasks/objectives that are efficient, well structured, maintainable, and easy to understand.
Develop an understanding of automation engineering and streamlining of complex processes and procedures for the optimization of current systems with stakeholders.
Review code/design of other RPA programmers to ensure consistent and effective design of process automations.
Serve as the process automation subject matter expert providing advice and counsel to client organizations related to the work of the Process Automation Branch.
Conduct maturity assessments against the process activities to highlight areas of improvement or concerns.
Qualifications
At the GS-12 level, you must meet one of the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes demonstrated robotics process automation experience performing analysis, development, testing, code review within software design/implementation methodologies. Also, creating and maintaining a standard code design repository to ensure consistent and effective design.

TIME-IN-GRADE: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Education cannot be substituted for specialized experience.
