About the Position: This position is located at USAJFK SPECIAL WARFARE CENTER & SCHOOL DIRECTORATE OF TRAINING AND DOCTRINE Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
Duties
Maintain multiple calendars, schedules appointments, meetings, Video Teleconferences (VTCs) for the Directors.
Receive and screen visitors and phone calls. Determines the nature of the request, refers callers or visitors to appropriate staff.
Draft correspondence on topics (such as office procedures and requests for information) based on knowledge of policies, precedents, and practices.
Type correspondences, reports or similar materials from handwritten or electronic drafts using a computer.
Make arrangements for travel and accommodations for the Directors based on general travel intentions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
- This position requires incumbent to be a Qualified Typist.
- This is a TERM position a Statement of understanding will have to be signed.
- A one-year probation is required unless previously completed.

One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Coordinate travel arrangements for group members utilizing the Defense Travel System; 2) Maintain multiple calendars, schedules appointments, meetings and Video Teleconferences (VTCs); 3) Prepare and review administrative correspondence in accordance with agency standards and establishing internal controls and advising personnel in subordinate offices on administrative procedures using automated systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
