About the Position: This is a Project Manager, GS-0301-12 position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Southwestern Division (SWD), Fort Worth District, Programs and Project Management Division, located in Fort Worth, TX. **NOTE: A recruitment or relocation incentive up to 25% of the base salary may be authorized for this position.**

Duties

Serve as Project Manager responsible for the overall management, control, coordination, and execution of assigned projects. Implement corporate decisions, guidance, laws, regulations, and policy in the development of the project and intermediate products in support of the project. Responsible for obtaining and maintaining the District's corporate commitment to the management plan. Coordinates the planning, design, cost engineering, construction, etc., for projects of substantial scope and complexity as, measured by the in diversity, geographical location, management demands, technical intricacies, and issues. Controls and manages project milestones and budgets from planning through construction and project turnover. Reviews and analyzes cost reports to assure charges are authorized and appropriate and identifies unauthorized charges and assures corrective actions are taken for the ultimate disposition of inappropriate charges. Reviews project progress measuring performance and taking necessary corrective actions to maintain agreed upon schedule and cost. Represents the District Commander serving as the District's primary point of contact for projects assigned with stakeholder/customer; other external organizations; and higher authorities. Responsible for keeping the stakeholder/customer fully informed of project progress, issues and their resolution, and any impact on costs.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
