This position is located in the MWR Marina Program Navy Region Southwest. Fiddler's Cove Marina carries out a comprehensive recreation program along with berthing space for privately owned vessels, MWR rental & training on powerboats and sailboats. The RV Campground offers sites with hook-up and dry camping, as well as a general store. NASNI Beach Cottages and fourteen rooms designated for long term stays are included under the purview of this position. *This position is pending classification*

Qualifications

Resumes must include information which demonstrates experience and knowledge, skills, and ability (KSAs) as they relate to this position. Applicants are encouraged to be clear and specific when describing their experience level and KSAs. A qualified candidate possess the following: Knowledge of principles and techniques associated with the safe and proper operations of the marina facility, beach cottages, campgrounds, and Rec Lodging sites. Ability to supervise, deal effectively with others and to be able to communicate orally and in writing. Possess the ability to supervise those with working knowledge on operation and repair of both sail and power boats, including the maintenance and repair of sails, rigging, hulls, decks, and power equipment. Possess the ability to supervise those with the knowledge of procedures, rules, and regulations governing safe boating practices, including Coast Guard Manual 169. American Red Cross sailing guidelines, and piloting and seamanship including electronic navigation. Knowledge and understanding of concepts and techniques in RV and tent camping. Must be CPR/First Aid certified. Must possess a working knowledge of resale operations including inventory, pricing, and stocking needs. Must possess knowledge of proper hazardous waste handling.
