About the Position: This position is located with the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command,(AMCOM)Logistics Center, Utility Directorate, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
Duties
Coordinate and exercises managerial direction over the integration of new equipment training, fielding, redistribution of items, and disposal for assigned weapon systems during all phases of the life cycle.
Gather data, conduct research and analyze the material and integrate into logistics assignment and prepare reports and presentations for Senior Leadership.
Assign, oversee, and view work of team members to include Major Item Distribution Plan and budget for assigned weapon systems.
Perform liaison visits to users of the weapon systems to evaluate logistics support and to provide advice and assistance on logistic problems.
Represent supervisor, project/program manager and command at conferences and meetings with representatives from internal and external agencies with authority to make decisions for the organization.
Apply a variety of analytical methods and techniques to unique and complex logistics matters.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level, or equivalent pay band which includes; utilizing the full spectrum of parts shipment and tracking systems to include the tools to input requisitions for unique parts; tracking shipment of aircraft parts through entire process from vendor to end destination; providing guidance and technical assistance with aircraft modification and/or repairs; understanding of aircraft (H-60) maintenance, understanding and applying tech data such as stock versus non stock and source of supply, using DPAS to include completing property transfers.
