Duties
You will coordinate and validate requirements with customers, then submit validated requirements with recommendations on behalf of the commands.
You will assess the capabilities and limitations of current NMCI hardware to optimize system reliability and maintainability.
You will manage customer requirements for NMCI network accounts, hardware, software.
You will evaluate problematic trends in NMCI customer support to provide problem resolution and/or feedback to senior leaders on improvement.
You will conduct needs analysis to establish customer requirements for NMCI information technology (IT) systems or equipment.
You will act as the command's Trusted Agent for CLO-enforcement and token creations for NMCI users.

- This position has been designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position in a DoD Cybersecurity Workforce (DCWF) role of Technical Support Specialist (411) at an Intermediate proficiency level.
- Incumbents of the position are required to qualify in accordance with the DON Cyber IT/CSWF Program requirements of SECNAV M-5239.2.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing NMCI (or equivalent) program management and documentation for task orders, seats and services ordered, user profile management, required training, and/or other associated services across an organization or department; 2) Assisting with providing data and/or reports regarding NMCI Help Desk contractors and performance; 3) Applying customer principles, methods and practices with regard to NMCI IT infrastructure, and 4) Managing IT infrastructure sufficient to manage special projects that impact delivery of customer support requirements.
Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.

Education
Applicants may substitute education for experience in the following situations:
- A completed Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management;
- Successful completion of three full years (54 hours) of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, graduate education that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
