You will serve as a Heat/Boiler Plant Equipment Mechanic in the PWO/Deputy PW Officer Earle, Product Division of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.
Duties
You will install, adjust, repair, and replace components, control devices, and units.
You will install, align, adjust, balance, and test system components and equipment.
You will perform routine maintenance on small electric motors, feed pumps, and valves.
You will replace brushes, seals, and bearings.
You will repack valves.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current CPR certification.

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You may at any time be assigned to a similar position at any site or workstation within the commuting area.
- You may be required to serve as an on-call duty mechanic on a rotation basis (required to carry a duty cell phone and pager and must remain available to respond on site to after-hour emergencies within two hours).
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
