You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGMENT SPECIALIST in the OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT (N3) of COMMANDER NAVY REGION HAWAII.

Duties
You will analyze data and reports to determine integrated logistics support (ILS) support effectiveness and condition of fleet units.
You will develop logistics policies, instructions, and procedural guidance for supply program budget or implementation.
You will resolve integrated logistical support (ILS) problems by developing new approaches and procedures.
You will recommend data policy, guidance, format, or standardization of life-cycle technical or product data.
You will determine integrated supportability requirements in the system engineering process to confirm logistics considerations are addressed in the system acquisition process.
You will identify resource requirements for a program's logistics strategy and total life-cycle aspects of logistics support programs.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Extensive knowledge of US Navy procurement and supply programs and skill in applying a wide-range of qualitative and quantitative methods to manage, assess and improve effectiveness of logistics programs; 2) Practical knowledge of logistics management principles, theories and processes, and organizational theory and analysis/evaluation techniques to conduct various logistics studies, investigations, evaluations, case analyses and assignments; 3) Skill in gathering, analyzing, evaluating and interpreting large amounts of logistical data to draw conclusions and develop recommendations and plans of action; and 4) Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs), DoD acquisition instructions, various DON regulations, Navy Supply System Command regulations, and Regional issuances governing procurement, inventory, control, and disposal of various classes of supply to perform GPC holder duties; 5) Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft programs and skill in applying written communication methods and techniques to develop and provide reports to leadership, and create briefs.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
Have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
OR
Have successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
OR
Have a combination of experience and education that equates to one year of experience. Percentage of education plus percentage of experience must equal 100%.
