This position works at Flagstaff Area National Monuments in the Facility Management Division.
Duties
This position will work under the Maintenance Work Leader or Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor. Below is a list of common duties but not limited to:
Performing routine maintenance to buildings, grounds, roads, equipment and related park assets. These will include campgrounds, trails, restrooms, public spaces, and paved roads.
Assist higher graded employees and tradesmen in the performance of construction and maintenance activities.
Conduct minor carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical work.
Safely and effectively, uses hand power tools required for the job and maintains these tools properly.
Collects trash, transporting materials, unloading and loading materials.
Incumbents will be expected to operate a motor vehicle.
Required to maintain a valid driver's license.
Employee may also be expected to operate a forklift and other machinery as needed.
Participate in regular team meetings and support the work of the unit utilizing effective communication and interpersonal skills.

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:
Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT)
Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment
Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc.,
Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic)
